When irrepressible Cheryl Louise Gatecrasher married steady-going Knottwood policeman Donald Alan Haney, no one knew WHAT to expect for the wedding ceremony! "Wear your silliest outfit," read the wedding invitations. Half the guests did, and half the guests didn't.
Ladylike and gentle best maid Nancy Hanbro was horrified to discover she was supposed to wear a wildly exaggerated beehive hairdo and a tight-fitting gold spangled Hollywood starlet dress; her easy-going husband Buddy Jim was merely amused when Officer Don apologetically handed him a loud chequered peacock-blue-and-white polyester shirt.
After such an outrageous start, everyone expected Cheryl to get married in a clown suit or something equally undignified, but the joke was on them! Cheryl appeared in a gorgeous and sophisticated Parisian coutourier gown of striped satin (designed by Madame Marabou herself!). In fact, Cheryl was the only member of the wedding party (apart from Officer Don, of course) to appear... Normal. (Nancy was particularly Not Amused!)
However, Cheryl's little joke aside, (almost) everyone was relieved to discover that the ceremony was dignified and reverent. In fact, as even her exasperated best maid admitted, it was a very touching wedding ceremony.
The only bit of real excitement occured just as everyone left the building, when... but why don't we just SHOW you?...
